FR / La pop expérimentale et psychédélique de Lucas et Felipe nous vient de João Pessoa, capitale de l'État de Paraíba au Nord-Est du Brésil. Huit titres tour à tour hallucinogènes, lumineux, moites. Huit "trips" muris dans la pénombre salvatrice du home-studio de Lucas, apartemento 307. C’est là que petit à petit s’esquisse depuis 2012 cette synthèse entre une pop brésilienne tropicale et des volutes de psychédélisme californien aux grooves lascifs.

Si la musique de Glue Trip tire ses racines d’une pop innovante et locale initiée dans les 70’s (Secos & Molhados, Os Mutantes, Lo Borges, Ze Ramalho), le groupe évite tout passéisme et s'affirme bien ancré dans son époque. Le choix de l’anglais renforce la dimension pop du projet qui atteint des sommets de grâce avec des titres comme “ Lucid dream ” et “New place to start”.

Glue Trip est une découverte Novomundo, structure dédiée aux Musiques Brésiliennes et ambassadeur des nouvelles tendances et de l'alternative.

UK / Experimental and psychedelic pop of Lucas and Felipe comes from João Pessoa, capital of the Paraíba state in the Northeast of Brazil. Eight titles alternately hallucinogenic, bright, clammy. Eight " trips " matured in the saving twilight of Lucas' s Home-Studio, apartemento 307. Little by little comes out since 2012 this synthesis between a tropical Brazilian pop with Californian psychedelic volutes and lascivious grooves.

If the music pulls its roots of an innovative and local pop initiated in the 70's (Secos and Molhados, Os Mutantes, Lo Borges, Ze Ramalho), the group avoids any passeism and considers itself well anchored in its time. The choice of English strengthens the pop dimension of the project which reaches summits of grace with titles as " Lucid dream " and " New places to start ".

Glue Trip is a Novomundo discovery , structure dedicated to new brazilian music.

Oh how I long for this album in vinyl format! Such smoothness. Such warmth. Such execution. This music begs to be taken along and woven into memories.
